Inission enters Germany with acquisition of Bavaria Digital Technik
Swedish EMS provider Inission is acquiring Pfronten-based EMS provider Bavaria Digital Technik (BDT) for EUR 5.3 million. The deal marks Inission’s first operation in Germany.
Inission is buying all shares in BDT from the insolvency administrator of AD Capital, according to a press release from Inission. The agreement was signed on 15 October, and closing is scheduled for 2 November.
BDT was founded in 1969 and employs around 110 people. Its customers are mainly in industrial automation, medical technology and energy. In 2025, the company generated revenue of approximately EUR 20 million and reported EBITDA of EUR 1.25 million. All employees will remain with the business, which operates from company-owned premises.
“BDT is a very good complement to our existing EMS operations. The acquisition broadens our customer base and provides us with a good entry point into the German market,” says Fredrik Berghel, CEO of Inission AB.
The purchase price corresponds to an enterprise value of 5.8 times BDT’s average EBITDA for 2023–2025. Inission is financing the deal through an acquisition loan of EUR 2.65 million. According to Inission, BDT will keep its local presence and gain access to the group’s network and resources.
“Under Inission’s ownership, BDT will have a strong international owner that will provide long-term support for the company’s continued development. Becoming part of the Inission Group creates further opportunities for sustainable growth, technological development and continued strengthening of our market position,” says Manuel Stelzer, CEO of Bavaria Digital Technik GmbH.
BDT will be consolidated into Inission’s financial statements from 2 November, provided the contractual conditions are met. Inission expects the acquisition to add approximately EUR 17 million in annual revenue.
