Murata completes new coil production building in Vietnam
Murata Manufacturing Vietnam has completed a new production building at its Ho Chi Minh site, where it will manufacture coil products for consumer electronics and automotive applications. The building cost around JPY 3 billion (EUR 16.9 million).
Construction began in May 2025, and the completion ceremony was held on 8 October, according to a press release from Murata. Production will now be set up and started in stages. The investment figure covers the building only.
The three-storey building has a total floor area of 10,576 square metres and is located on the premises of the subsidiary's branch in Ho Chi Minh, which is situated in Dong Nai City. Coil products are used to stabilise electric currents and suppress noise, and Murata says the new building is intended to secure a stable supply for consumer equipment and automotive customers.
Murata does not disclose the cost of production equipment, the added capacity or how many people will work in the new building.
