Zollner, Avalon establish JV for electronics manufacturing in India

German EMS provider Zollner Elektronik and Indian firm Avalon Technologies Limited are establishing a strategic joint venture for printed circuit board assembly and system integration in India. Through this partnership, Zollner is expanding its international competence network and creating additional manufacturing capacity for global customers with operations in the Indian market, Zollner said in a press release.

In Avalon, Zollner has gained an experienced partner with an established manufacturing base, mature supply chain structures and more than 25 years of experience in the Indian EMS market. Zollner brings to the partnership its extensive engineering and manufacturing expertise, international customer relationships and know-how across the entire product life cycle.  

The joint venture will manufacture printed circuit board assemblies and system integration products in India. Initially, the focus will be on supplying the Indian operations of existing customers, the press release said.
