Koh Young to double production capacity at Yeoju complex
South Korean inspection solutions provider Koh Young Technology is building a second production centre at its Yeoju complex in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, targeting completion in August 2027. The new 12,800 square-metre facility will double the company's total production capacity.
The expansion is driven by growing demand for 3D precision measurement and inspection solutions, particularly from AI server and advanced semiconductor customers, according to a press release from the company. Koh Young cited record quarterly sales as evidence of the current market momentum.
Beyond its core 3D inspection portfolio, the new facility will establish production capabilities for industrial X-ray inspection equipment and support the company's growing medical technology business, including surgical navigation systems and medical robotics.
"Demand for our 3D inspection solutions is increasing rapidly, particularly among global AI server and advanced semiconductor customers, and that demand is translating into continued sales growth. By doubling our production capacity, we will be better positioned to respond to growing customer demand," the company writes in the press release.
