ICEYE to broaden engagement with India’s defense ecosystem

Finnish company ICEYE has announced the formal establishment of ICEYE India, operating from New Delhi.
ICEYE India’s immediate priority is supporting India’s defense and intelligence customers to access advanced intelligence capabilities and solutions that strengthen national security and resilience, alongside broader engagement with the country’s space and defense ecosystem through supply-chain participation, technology validation, and local capability building, the company said.
The entity is also the platform for ICEYE’s manufacturing plans in India. The company intends to build production capability in-country, serving Indian defense, surveillance, and environmental monitoring requirements through local sourcing, local suppliers, and local engineering talent, ICEYE said.
“ICEYE India means real engineering and manufacturing capability on the ground,” said Rafał Modrzewski, CEO and Co-founder of ICEYE. “We’re excited to build this together with the government and local partners and to support India as it strengthens its own sovereign intelligence capability.”
ICEYE is exploring collaboration across the Indian space and defense ecosystem, including launch capabilities, electronics and component manufacturers, and technology partners.
