Tata Power commissions 190.5 MW FDRE project in Rajasthan
The project will supply energy to Haryana Power Purchase Centre (HPPC), Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) and Noida Power Company Limited (NPCL).
Indian company Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power, has commissioned its 190.5 MW Solar FDRE project at Kalasar, Bikaner, Rajasthan, which is under the contractual capacity of 460 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) Project.
The 190.5 MW project has been developed under SJVN FDRE Tranche-1. The project will supply energy to Haryana Power Purchase Centre (HPPC), Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) and Noida Power Company Limited (NPCL), Tata Power said in a press release.
“Among the project’s notable execution milestones was the completion of the switchyard within just three months and the Harmonic Filter Bank within one month, reflecting TPREL’s focus on speed, quality and execution excellence,” the company said.
With this project, TPREL’s total renewable utility capacity has reached 12.4 GW. Of this, around 6.9 GW is operational, including 5.6 GW of solar and 1.3 GW of wind capacity, while close to 5.5 GW is under various stages of implementation and expected to be commissioned in phases over the next 24 months.
