Siemens to invest over $200 million in US manufacturing
Siemens expands manufacturing capacity with two new factories in US, producing the critical electrical backbone for AI infrastructure. Investments strengthen a global portfolio spanning power distribution, automation, digital twins, EDA and industrial AI
Siemens will invest more than USD 200 million in two new US manufacturing facilities in Pendergrass, Georgia, and Grand Prairie, Texas. These investments will expand Siemens’ production capacity to deliver the critical electrical infrastructure required to power the next wave of AI, the company said.
Siemens will create more than 1,500 jobs and strengthen its ability to serve the rapidly growing demand for AI-ready data centers. The investments are part of a move to expand Siemens’ global capacity. In July 2026, the company already announced an investment of EUR 300 million in its factories in Germany to support the rapid growth of AI and data centers.
“We are present across the AI value chain — from chip design and data center infrastructure to the electrical systems and smart grids that power accelerated computing,” said Roland Busch, President and CEO of Siemens AG. “With these investments we are strengthening our global leadership in the electrical backbone of AI and helping customers build efficient, resilient, AI-ready data centers.”
The new facilities will produce the electrical equipment that keeps AI data centers running: systems essential for distributing, monitoring and controlling power across highly complex, energy-intensive environments, Siemens said.
