TT Electronics secures lifetime power electronics contract with Rolls-Royce
TT Electronics has signed a multi-million pound lifetime contract with Rolls-Royce to supply power electronics for all large civil aircraft engines. The agreement covers TT Electronics' multi-chip power modules and precision magnetics, manufactured at its Bedlington and Barnstaple facilities in the United Kingdom.
The components govern how each Rolls-Royce engine runs and are described as mission-critical. The contract extends a partnership between the two companies that spans four decades, according to a press release from TT Electronics.
"This agreement is a reflection of the trust we've built together in the UK over four decades and our shared ambition to advance technology and improve engine performance," said Rob Relph, Executive Vice President, Power Division at TT Electronics.
