Waaree secures $17 million order for medium voltage skids
The 8.3 MVA MV skid is a plug-and-play, containerised solution developed by Waaree Transpower specifically for BESS applications. The complete solution is integrated within a 20-foot container, enabling efficient transportation, installation and deployment.
Waaree Transpower Private Limited, a subsidiary of India’s Waaree Energies Ltd., has secured an order valued at approximately ₹1.6 billion (about USD 16.5 million) from a leading energy storage technology and solutions provider, for the supply of 8.3 MVA Medium Voltage (MV) skids for BESS applications.
The order boosts the company’s position as a supplier of critical electrical infrastructure for the energy storage market, Waaree said.
The 8.3 MVA MV skid is an IEC-standard compliant, plug-and-play, containerised solution developed by Waaree Transpower specifically for BESS applications. The complete solution is integrated within a 20-foot container, enabling efficient transportation, installation and deployment across different project locations and international markets. Its shippable and stackable configuration also offers greater flexibility for large-scale BESS deployments.
Shipments under the order have commenced from July 2026, the company said.
