PCB market back to normal in February 2011
Sales for German PCB manufacturers increased sequentially by 1.1% in February 2011, reports the industry association ZVEI PCB and Electronic Systems.
The figures are 20.1% above those recorded for February 2010, but 4.2% below the record result of February 2008. The preliminary figures for March indicate further increasing turnover.
Although order intake decreased sequentially by 6.5% and also YoY with 13%, order levels for February 2011 indicate a normalisation of order levels. The decline has to be seen in light of an enormous order intake during 2010 and a still large order backlog that needs to be processed.
The book-to-bill ratio for February 2011 reached a value of 0.92.
