Foxconn to expand in Slovakia
EMS-giant Foxconn is to expand production at the LCD manufacturing facility in Nitra (Slovakia).
Foxconn - also known as Hon Hai Precision - plans to increase production output at the Nitra manufacturing facility during 2011. The production capacity - Foxocnn manufactures LCD TVs in Nitra - is to be increased by 50%. Furthermore, work force numbers are also to increase.
No specific schedule was announced.
Foxconn - which acquired the Nitra facility from Sony in 2010 - currently employs around 3'000 staff there. This is to increase to 3'900 over the course of the year, local media reports.
