Power-One invests in Hitachi SMT systems

Hitachi High-Technologies America has sold two Σ (Sigma) G5 high speed SMT assembly systems to Power-One, Inc. of Camarillo, California.
The selection of the Hitachi Σ (Sigma) G5 was the result of a comprehensive equipment evaluation performed by Power-One at their new, state-of-the-art facility in Phoenix, Arizona.

“With our facilities on three continents, we chose Hitachi based on its quality, service reach and the ability to grow with Power-One as we expand the geographies and markets we serve. Upon evaluating products from multiple vendors, we assessed Hitachi’s technology as the surface mount platform best suited to meet Power-One’s flexible manufacturing needs", said Neil Dial, Power-One’s Senior Vice President Worldwide Operations.
