Xilinx acquires Omiino
Xilinx has acquired Belfast-based start-up Omiino. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The company - founded 4 years ago (2007) by Gary Hamilton, its CEO Mark Carson and Andrew Brown - specialises in programmable microchips. The company employs a further 13 staff.
All founders come with background in the electronics industry, having worked for companies such as Nortel, Flextronics, Conexant, STC and Amphion Semiconductor.
