EU clears Tyco Electronics' acquisition of ADC

Tyco Electronics has received merger control clearance from the European Commission for its proposed acquisition of ADC Telecommunications. This clearance satisfies the condition of the tender offer related to European Union regulatory approval. Tyco Electronics' tender offer for shares of ADC is scheduled to expire at 5:00 p.m., New York City time on Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010
