Ericsson to buy Marconi?
According to Light Reading, Ericsson is interested in acquire the troubled British based Telecom Maker Marconi.
Marconi said a month ago that the company is up for sale, and that the company talks to a potential buyer. According to speculations, the buyer would be Chinese competitor Huawei.
Now, Sweden based competing telecom giant Ericsson, is mentioned to be another potential buyer. In recent years Marconi has won over Ericsson a couple of attractive contracts in the UK with British Telecom. By acquiring Marconi, Ericsson can expect to take over these contracts.
