Intel plans to invest in Foxlink

Intel is considering an investment plan in Taiwan based connector maker Foxlink.
Intel plans to cooperate over CPU socket supply to prevent Foxconn Electronics monopolizing the connector market according to a DigiTimes report. Intel is also considering to invest in Foxlink.

Foxlink and Foxconn chairmen are brothers and their relationship should help reducing the chances of any possible connector patent lawsuits, DigiTimes noted.
