Thales close down unit in the UK
France-based defense and electronics giant Thales is closing down its unit in Wells, UK.
Staff at the Wells unit was informed today that facility will close down in March 2011. All 550 employees will be laid off, reports Thisissomerset.
Thales bought this plant in 2000 from Racal, which originally bought it from Thorn EMI in 1995.
