Yazaki Wiring to close down in Slovakia

Japan-based Yazaki Wiring Technologies is to close down its manufacturing facility in Prievidza (Slovakia).
All employees (around 1'200) are affected by the closure of the wire harness manufacturing facility. The layoffs are scheduled for May / June this year. Yazaki Wiring Technology is said to hand out redundancy payment—amounts to between 6 and 8 months salary—depending on the length of employment, local media reports.

Additional to that, the company also offered alternative jobs for 300 employees in their other manufacturing facility in Michalovce (Slovakia).
