SIR invests in new SMT line

The Polish EMS-provider Stalewski i Reszczyk—based in Ełk—has invested in a new SMT line.

The new line, which comes with a capacity of 30.000 c.p.h., was installed on the beginning of March 2010. The new equipment consist of screen printer MPM, a glue dispenser Fuji FGL541E, two P&P machines—Universal Advantis AC30L and Universal GSM—and a reflow oven Vitronics Soltec Quantis Pro. During a phone conversation with evertiq, the general manager of the facility—Zbigniew Hołdyk—stated that the investment was made due to clear signs of an upward trend in the market. The new equipment enables the company to meet increasing demand. It will also improve operational stability and enable the EMS-provider to assemble smaller components, he continued in saying. Stalewski i Reszczyk Sp. k. currently employs 90 people. After the investment, the EMS-provider has a production capacity of 55.000 c.p.h. The older SMT line, also based on Universal equipment HSP + GSM, has a capacity of 25.000 c.p.h.
