Foxconn to snatch up former CPT president
Chiu Chuang-yi—former president of Chunghwa Picture Tubes (CPT)—is rumoured to be heading for EMS-giant Foxconn.
The former president of Taiwan-based Chunghwa Picture Tubes is rumoured to join EMS-provider Foxconn to head the newly expanded LCD-business of the company, reports DigiTimes. However, Chiu Chuang-yi has dismissed the reports as pure rumours.
After acquiring Sony's LCD manufacturing facility in Nitra (Slovakia) just before Easter—a similar deal was inks a while ago for Sony's Mexican LCD production too—the EMS-provider is now estimated to ship around 12 million LCD TVs this year alone.
