Enphase works with Flextronics over Clean Tech

Enphase Energy today announced a new microinverter for the Ontario, Canada market. This new product will fulfill the Domestic Content requirement and will therefore enable installers to participate in the Ontario Feed-in-Tariff (FiT) Program. "We're excited to support Ontario's forward-looking and bold initiative to broaden solar adoption and create highly skilled green jobs," said Enphase Energy CEO Paul Nahi. "Together with Flextronics, our global manufacturing partner, Enphase is proud to support Ontario's clean energy goals." The Enphase production line will have a capacity of 100 MW (500,000 microinverters) in the first year of operation. The company plans to double this capacity to one million microinverters to support expected demand in 2011.
