German government forms VC fund
German government has formed a Venture Capital fund worth 262 million EUR over the next five years.
The money is intended to be used to support technology-based startups. The state owned bank KfW is expected to contribute about 11 million EUR and BASF, Siemens and Deutsche Telekom will contribute with 11 million EURO but the main part of the fundings will be public money.
