Large demand in China for smuggled iPhones
China currently sees an increased demand for smuggled iPhones in the country.
According to China Unicom, up to 80% of all iPhones used and available in China are fake. However, there is still a large demand for the smuggled phones, as they are generally cheaper. The smuggled phones have apparently some original iPhone parts - encased in a fake handset. A vendor told China Daily that mainly young people want to have a fashionable and 'cool' gadget - the major reason why the demand for the smuggled phones is still so high.
