Siemens Siplace with further job cuts
The equipment maker Siemens Electronics Assembly Systems (SEAS) will lay off another 100 employees in Germany.
On Tuesday (24.11.2009), SEAS employees went on strike in front of the Munich facility to protest the layoffs, local media reports. The German workers union IG Metall stated that the company laid off around 500 staff in recent months. This affected the facility in Munich, but also the facility in Bruchsal - here the production unit was already closed down.
