CCS sees further increase of lead times
The EMS-provider CCS anticipates a further tightening of delivery times for most components.
"Due to a further reduction of inventories and capacity by our component manufacturers and suppliers, a massive increase in lead times is to be expected. This leads to a critical situation for most components - in particular flash memories, microcontrollers or many discrete and analog components", a statement reads.
The manufacturing process for semiconductor material is now extimanted at 16 - 20 weeks. Some of the components come with even longer lead times, the EMS-provider continues.
