Elpida wants Qimonda DRAM-operations
Japan-based Elpida Memory is in talks to acquire Qimonda's high-end graphics DRAM operations.
Talks are already underway, but not completed. Elpida announced on Tuesday that it plans to acquire the graphics DRAM business of the insolvent German chip-manufacturer Qimonda. However, further details as well as the acquisition price still need to be discussed. A timeframe was also not available, report the WSJ and Reuters.
