Swedish bankrupt EMS provider sold

Swedish based EMS Provider GELAB (Gäddede Electronics AB) has bought bankrupt competitor Torps Elektronik AB.

Torps Elektronik went bankrupt a couple of months ago due to a miscalculation of its stock. After downsizing the staff from 24 to 16, competitor GELAB has stepped in and bought the assets from the administrator. Katarina Dahl, daughter of the founder, Gunnar Dahl, has been appointed manager for the newly formed division GELAB i Fränsta. GELAB, an EMS-Provider specialised in contract manufacturing and Cabeling /Antenna production, has 75 employees in its other plant in Northern Sweden.
