According to an FTD-report, German state aid depends on one question: in what financial situation the company was before the deadline of July 1, 2008. Meaning that only those companies that have been affected by the crisis after that date are entitled to state aid.

According to an unnamed insider-source, the situation is currently stable: "In January, February, the situation was critical, now it is relatively stable", the source is quoted.
