Future technology: Plating on Glass with HMS Horizontal Plater

HMS Höllmüller can present concrete results of a pioneering project requiring plating on glass plates.
An electronics maker approached Höllmüller during the past year regarding the metallization of glass surfaces. After initial trial protocols were established, test plates were prepared in Germany and then electroplated in Japan at the laboratories of its chemistry partner, Uyemura.

Using an HMS ComPlate EVOLUTION Horizontal Copper Plater, the results satisfied the initial goals and confirm the feasibility of this technology. Subsequent trials are in the planning phase to confirm capability for manufacturing in large formats.
