Italian companies to co-develop laser materials
Italian based SAES Getters S.p.A., the parent company of the SAES Getters Group, will acquire a 30% shareholding in Scientific Materials Europe S.r.l.
The intent is to strengthen the SAES Getters Group's penetration of the solid-state laser material market, according to LaserFocusWorld. No details of the transaction have been disclosed.
SAES Getters is a producer of getter components for high-vacuum applications. Scientific Materials Europe is a manufacturer of solid-state laser components.
