Hisense to close Hungarian LCD assembly unit
China based Hisense will close its Hungarian LCD assembly operations in Szombathely in Western Hungary.
The company employs close to 90 staff in Szombathely, which will be laid off from February 1, 2008. However, the company will only exit the TV assembly, but will keep its sales, financial and repair centre, which employs 13 staff, local media reports.
