Slovakia with €170 million investment

The Slovak government has announced a €170 million investment into the country's electronics industry.

The Slovak Economy Minister Lubomir Jahnatek is cited in a Reuter's report in saying that the project should be similar to Samsung's factory. Further and additional details will be announced earlier next year. The Slovak government has already stated earlier this month that it is in talks for €1 billion in FDI deals. The country is currently negotiating with investors on six projects worth at least €1 billion in total. The government believes that this will help to offset the local impact of the global economics crisis. All potential investments are for the automotive, chemical and electronics industries.
