EMS provider Jabil is may start a redundancy plan at their plant in Brest, France.

According to local paper ouest-france US based EMS Provider Jabil Circuit is considering to close or sell the Brest France plant. The Brest plant has 300 employees; Jabil bought the plant from Alcatel in 2002. At that time the plant had 700 employees. The facility has seen several waves of layoffs (the last in late 2007, when around 200 employees had to leave) and management had opted for a 3-years-plan: it expected a sales forecast of around €86 million in fiscal 2007. However, it managed to report only €61 million, reports French Le Télégramme.
