Freescale’s UK plant ceases next year
Production at Freecale’s plant in East Kilbride, Scotland will stop during 2009.
Freescale said in a statement on October 14 that the company will enter into individual consultation with its employees. As evertiq reported earlier, Freescale is to close its manufacturing operations in East Kilbride with the cut back of 750 jobs. Additional to that 100 support jobs are also at risk.
