Seagate close plant on Northern Ireland, cuts 1000 jobs

US based technology company Seagate will close down its plant in Limavady, Northern Ireland.
The company will cut almost 1000 jobs. The production from the plant in Limavady will be transferred to a plant in Malaysia. Employees will receive payment until end of October and redundancies are not affected. The production will continue at Seagates plant in Londonderry, Northern Ireland.
