Foxconn receives orders from Asustek
EMS provider Foxconn has received order from Asustek for production of 15.4-inch X-series notebooks.
The shipment is expected to take place in January or February 2009. The volumes are 40,000-50,000 units per month. According to David Chang , Asustek spokesman said that the outsourcing of notebooks will be on an OEM basis only. The company will still invest in research and development.
