Estonian company investing in electronics component maker

Ambient Sound Investments has invested 200,000 euros in return for a 14 percent stake in Taiwan based AirDio Wireless.
AirDio Wireless is a developer of wireless networking components that reduce the size of handhelds such as smartphones and mobile internet devices. The agreement with AirDio represents ASI‘s third investment in emerging technology companies in Asia.

“AirDio combines exceptional industry experience with remarkable R&D,” said Toivo Annus, managing partner at ASI. “AirDio offers best-in-class patent-pending technology for devices that have already sold in millions, in a market that is set to explode in the near future.”

“The agreement with ASI is a tremendous recognition to our technology development and a springboard to the global arena,” added AirDio CEO Wen Tsay.
