Freescale receives €194 million contract

Siemens Automotive awards supply automotive contract to Freescale Semiconductor.
Siemens VDO Automotive has awarded Freescale Semiconductor a €194 ($245 million) million contract to supply components for its automotive electrical and electronic systems, EE Times reports.

Electronic systems are slated to represent nearly 35 percent of a vehicle's value by 2010, according to Freescale.
