Leoni transfer cable unit to Romania
Leoni Hungária Kft, a subsidiary of Germany's Leoni, a maker of wires and cables, plans to lay off 250 employees at its factory in Eger, Hungary.
Leoni is moving the factory's production to Romania because of lower payroll costs. However, production of cables for the automotive industry will remain in Hungary. The transfer will be complete in October.
