German PCB market rockets in January 2008
The German PCB market started the year with a good turnover, which was 8% higher than the previous month’s figure, reports the German 'Verband der Leiterplattenindustrie' and the Electronic Components and Systems Division im ZVEI - German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association.
With longer delivery times and a longer planning periods, we have seen an increase in orders. This has lead to a very positive order inflow. The order inflow has even topped the figure for January 2001. Compared to December 2007, we see an 50% increase in order inflow. Continuous and steady growth reports the segment Industry-Electronics and here especially sensors and alternative energies.
Becauseof the favourable absolute figures for turnover and order inflow has the Book-to-Bill-Ratio reached 1.07.
The companies increased their staff numbers by 1%.
