Profilo faces factory closure
Profilo Telra, a Turkish TV manufacturer, has reportedly closed down its production facility in Çerkezköy, Turkey.
The people in Çerkezköy, an industrial area in the Tekirdağ province have claimed that the factory is already been closed. 3000 employees were laid-off. However, the company told Today’s Zaman that the factory was still producing at a minimum level.
Profilo withdrew from the white goods manufacturing business and sold all related assets to the German manufacturer Bosch Siemens in 2003. The company focused on TV manufacturing.
