Foxconn executive buys Czech chateau

Terry Gou, the CEO of Foxconn CZ, has purchased Roztěž chateau near Kutná Hora.

There are currently around 130 empty castles and chateaus on the market in the Czech Republic, with some priced as little as € 790,000, yet nobody seems to want them. Terry Gou, the CEO of Foxconn CZ, recently purchased Roztěž chateau near Kutná Hora in Central Bohemia. This could be one of the rare occasions where status does matter, although Gou operates a golf course there, according to CBW. Vit Klíma, a Czech property consultant said that it was rare for a private buyer to purchase a chateau for themselves. In most cases they would want to have an investment return. image source: alchemy.cz
