Weak dollar lowers GPV’s result
Denmark based EMS and PCB producer GPV has reported a weaker third quarter result.
GPV's three divisions performed very differently in Q3. The Electronics division is progressing excellently while the Mechanics division is facing challenges due to the low USD rate and a lack of profitability in the defense related projects. The PCB division's factory in China is developing positively compared with last year whereas the factories in Denmark has a lower level of activity. Based on the performance in the first nine months income before tax is now expected to be DKK 30-35 million against previously around DKK 60 million.
