Celestica wins Bluetooth deal over Foxconn
EMS provider Celestica has beaten Taiwan based EMS provider Foxconn in a deal with GN Netcom.
GN Netcom has signed an agreement with Celestica. Celestica will sub-contracting the majority of its production of Bluetooth headsets. GN Netcom plans to suspend the operations of its own plant in Xiamen, China.
GN Netcom used to produce approximately 10% of its total output at the plant in China while outsourcing 90% of its production to 30 contractors, including Foxconn.
