Flextronics to close plant in Montreal
Singapore based EMS provider Flextronics will close its plant in Montreal, Quebec.
The Montreal plant will close down in September this year. The management yesterday met with the employees to inform them about this decision. The reason for the closure is due to that its customer Nortel will transfer production from the Montrel plant to Flextronics in Guadalajara, Mexico. Some production will be transferred back Nortel itself.
