Sanyo to close battery plant in Hungary
At the Dorog factory in northwest of Budapest Hungary, electronics company Sanyo Hungary Kft will terminate the production of rechargeable batteries and shut down the plant.
600 employees will be redundant due to the close down of the plant, BBJ reports. Approximately 200 employees of the total work force of 841 will be redeployed at the company’s solar cell making unit.
