Nokia Romania opens next week

Nokia is opening its first mobile phone assembly line in Romania on February 11.
The official opening of the plant in Jucu, Romania is due to take place later this year. A 200 production staff and 100 management staff will initially work at the site. The production will be shipped to the markets in Europe, Middle-East and Africa.

Nokia management would like to use work in two shifts per day, however the current legislation provides for three shifts. The plant manager is in negotiation regarding a law modification with the Romanian Labour Minister about this law.
