New Bluetooth 5.3 Low Energy (LE) module from Panasonic with LE audio
Equipped with two Cortex®-M33 processors, the PAN1783 can be operated in stand-alone mode, eliminating the need for an external processor. This complexity reduction saves space and cost. One processor serves as an application processor with 128 MHz or 64 MHz, with 512 kB RAM and 1 MB embedded flash memory, and the other serves as a network processor with 64 MHz, 64 kB RAM and 256 kB flash.
In addition, the PAN1783 supports Bluetooth direction finding with Angle of Arrival (AoA) and Angle of Departure (AoD) functionality. It also offers Type 2 Near Field Communication (NFC-A) support for simplified pairing and payment solutions, with an external antenna required for NFC functionality.
With improved sensitivity and LE-coded PHY, the PAN1783 is particularly suitable for computer peripherals, I/O devices, advanced wearables and wireless audio devices. Its ultra-low power consumption makes it a good choice for battery-powered applications. The module is certified according to CE RED, FCC, ISED, MIC and RCM.
