Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway has disclosed a USD 4 billion stake in Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing.
Warren Buffett', or rather Berkshire Hathaway, has quietly built up a USD 4 billion stake in Taiwan Semiconductor over the last few months, a Securities and Exchange Commission filing revealed.
The conglomerate purchased about 60.1 million American Depository Shares (ADS) of the Taiwanese chip foundry. This marks a rare foray into the technology sector by billionaire Warren Buffett, writes Reuters.
