GlobalWafers / Siltronic deal gets Chinese green light
GlobalWafers says in an update that it has now obtained merger control clearance from the State Administration for Market Regulation of China regarding its acquisition of Siltronic
The approval follows clearances already received from the German Federal Cartel Office, the Austrian Federal Competition Authority, the Korea Fair Trade Commission, the Taiwan Fair Trade Commission and several others.
However, there are still hurdles to over come and GlobalWafers says it continues to work with relevant merger review procedures and aims to close the transaction in early 2022.
